From those who Talk to Tamzin.

I have never considered myself an artist or a creative. I do not paint, sing, draw, dance, play a musical instrument, sculpt, act, photograph, or design well.

But who am I to define what well means, especially to others? Art and craft is subjective and why subject my art – my craft – to being defined as such only because it is liked by others?

I am eternally enthusiastic, inquisitive, constantly learning and always yearning to write. Through writing I integrate my ever expansive source of knowledge. Through writing I learn. Through writing I heal.

The Universe is always talking to me; I listen, I learn, I write and I heal.

Learning is my artistic practice. Sharing what I know through writing is my craft.

I write for me.

This morning the Universe talked to me through rupi kaur. I picked up my copy of Milk and Honey and opened to a “random” (nothing is ever random) page. These words were talking to me.

I like my work. My soul likes my work. Honestly.

I am learning to care less about being relatable in order to be liked with every passing day.
